Volkswagen, Too, Is Running the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Race
According to a German patent filing, Volkswagen (VW) Group is working on a novel hydrogen fuel cell that might be employed in a future production model. VW and the German firm Kraftwerk Group filed the patent application jointly in July 2021, and it was recently made public. It focuses on developing a hydrogen fuel cell stack vehicle, which according to officials, may have a range of up to 1,250 miles (2,000 km). Volkswagen is working on a new vehicle that will be far less expensive than the H2 vehicles already on the market. A model with a range of 2,000 kilometers per full tank is what they plan to release. This reflects a few significant changes, such as VW’s interest in an H2 vehicle. Up until recently, Volkswagen has openly stated its desire for battery electric cars rather than emphasizing a hydrogen car model among its zero-emission products.
